On April 25th, 2008, it happened to be a sunny day with a clear sky in Bodo, a city in Northern Norway in the Arctic Circle. Local Falun Gong practitioners got together to practise the Falun Gong exercises and display photos depicting Falun Gong's spread around the world and the cruel persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. The activities commemorated the incident nine years ago when over 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners peacefully appealed at the Appeal Office of the State Council in Beijing.

Mr. DAG OLAV SIVERTSEN was among the passers-by who stopped to view the display boards. After viewing every photo and reading the captions attentively, he asked the practitioners for more information about the on-going persecution. Upon learning that the Chinese Communist regime has escalated the arrest of Falun Gong practitioners in the name of hosting the Olympics, he expressed that he would call the Norwegian government and urged the government to take action to help stop the Chinese regime’s persecution of Falun Gong. He said that he wanted to have more detailed information, so practitioners gave him a copy of the Report into Allegations of Organ Harvesting of Falun Gong Practitioners in China co-written by David Matas, famous Canadian human right lawyer, and David Kilgour, former member of Parliament and former Secretary of State of the Government of Canada for the Asia Pacific region.

Though the green grass is still covered by the remaining snow;
Everything is coming back to life.
As the sentient beings in Norway are awakening;
A magnificent flower is breaking through the snow to usher in the spring.
