In order to raise awareness about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s persecution of Falun Gong, practitioners in Paris have been exposing the CCP’s brutal treatment of its adherents, in particular the CCP's appalling atrocities of organ harvesting from living victims. From Parisian practitioners’ peaceful and persistent anti-persecution activities on Human Rights Square opposite the Eiffel Tower, people have learned the truth that Falun Gong is “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance” whereas the CCP is “Falseness, Evilness and Conflicts”.

On Sunday the 20th of April 2008, local public and tourist from all over the world on Human Rights Square were attracted by the peaceful exercises demonstrated by Falun Gong practitioners. Many were stunned to see the truth exhibits that exposed the CCP’s killings. One after another people watched, inquired and signed to support Falun Gong by participating in the Millions of Signatures Petition initiated by the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG) to call for stopping the persecution.

Having seen the CCP’s atrocities of organ harvesting exposed at the Human Rights Square, a Miss Lin who lives in Paris said that this kind of crime is against humanity. She said, “This is extremely anti-human. We all know the CCP regime disrespects and tramples on human rights. As for the CCP’s crackdown, I have the deepest sympathy for Falun Gong for being persecuted as Falun Gong is a non-violent, peaceful group. But the CCP would not see this. I hope things will improve in the future.”

Miss Lin continued, “I grew up overseas. A short while ago I visited Shanghai. It was a strange atmosphere of losing freedom. Freedom is completely disregarded in China. Freedom of speech is censored, especially on the internet. Young people like me are on the net all the time. I felt very strange, very unusual. I hope for changes in the future. Hope China will respect human rights.”

Seeing the information posters on the persecution, a female tourist by the name of Josie was stunned. She said, “I feel this (Falun Gong) gives me a sense of humanity. I will give them moral support! This persecution is in my opinion an ugly persecution. Very ugly indeed!” Josie hoped that people would have courage to face the persecution. “Every Chinese ought to have courage as those Falun Gong practitioners do.”

M. Michel and wife Maria regarded the CCP’s torture and killing of Falun Gong practitioners as a crime against humanity, which could not be tolerated. Maria said, “I can not accept the CCP’s persecution. This is against humanity, against human dignity! Regrettably, we do not have access to much information about what is happening in China. More people should know about the persecution in China. Once they know, the international community will apply certain pressure on the CCP regime.”

Michel said, “The persecution in China, like any other persecution, is unusual. Many other countries also do not respect human rights, such as North Korea. For freedom in China, many are taking the opportunity of the Olympics to expose the persecution to the world and fight against the CCP’s trampling on human rights.”

On how to help bring the persecution in China to an end, Michel said, “What is happening in China needs to be turned into an international affair. Having learned the truth, the international community will apply pressure on the CCP. Nowadays the international community plays an important role. International radio, TV, media are all good ways of applying pressure on the CCP.”

Mr. Lei Xing who worked at an information consulting firm loved Qigong. He wanted to learn Falun Gong. He said, “I know that Falun Gong benefits both mind and body. Falun Gong brings me peace and harmony. I love it. There are classes at the Jardin du Luxembourg. I plan to start practising Falun Gong.”
