On Sunday April 20th, a rally supporting the end of Communism in China was held on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. Hundreds of people were on the Hill that day and learned that more than 35 million people have quit the Chinese Communist Party, and that the number is steadily increasing every day.

The rally was held to support, and raise awareness of, this significant movement to end Communism in China, and to welcome the construction of a Monument for Victims of Communism in Canada.

Each day, tens of thousands people in China overcome fear and the Internet blockade to publicly declare that they want to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organisations on a website set up for that purpose. Many of the people decided to do this after reading the book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party originally serialised in the Dajeyuan and The Epoch Times newspapers, and published on their websites three years ago. The book reveals the true nature of the CCP as it traces the bloody history of the party in China and its negative effect on China's people, culture, and rights.

In China, anyone found in possession of this book or passing it to others faces interrogation, imprisonment, and possible torture.

But the movement has not wavered, as a steady stream of names is added to the site every day. This activity is gaining momentum and changing China quickly in a quiet and peaceful way.
