Tumuji Forced Labour Camp at Zhabente Banner, Xing'an League is where Falun Gong practitioners from four leagues in the eastern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (Hulunbeier, Xingan, Tongliao and Chifeng) are sent when they are sentenced to forced labour.

Tumuji Forced Labour Camp currently imprisons more than 20 Falun Gong practitioners. They were sentenced to two years and three years respectively.

The police established a "transformation1" base by covering all the windows and doors of a ward on the second floor of Tumuji Hospital and locking the Falun Gong practitioners inside. Seven or eight people would brainwash and physically abuse each practitioner. The practitioners were forced to stand for several days and nights, were subjected to sleep deprivation, and were not allowed to use the toilet. If a Falun Gong practitioner went on hunger strike to resist the persecution, the guards would handcuff him, pry open his mouth with a metal stick, and force-feed him repeatedly with hot pepper water or salt water. Some practitioners' teeth were knocked out in the process. The guards also shocked the practitioners with electric batons, whipped them with leather belts, punched and kicked them, tied them up, locked them up in water dungeons, forced them to stand barefoot in the snow, and hung them up.

Since 2000, Falun Gong practitioners from Tongliao City have been imprisoned at Tumuji Labour Camp and have all suffered persecution to varying degrees in addition to excessive, forced labour.

Ms. Fan Xiaoli, former deputy director of the Tongliao Industry and Commerce Bank, has been imprisoned twice at a labour camp. She was shocked with electric batons and beaten by several people simultaneously. She was left out to be exposed to the summer sun and other tortures that caused angina, heart failure, and atrophy of her limbs. For nearly seven months, she has been completely incapacitated and unable to care for herself. She also vomited blood in the process. She was released on the verge of death and after her family was extorted out of 5,000 yuan2 by the labour camp.

Former Tongliao Elementary School teacher Ms. Wang Ying, Ms. Wan Xiuying's daughter, was tortured by being hung up by the handcuffs, beaten with clubs, shocked with two high-voltage electric batons, and beaten by multiple people simultaneously. She was eventually crippled by the abuse she suffered. A CT scan indicated that she had contracted myocarditis, and the torture she suffered also resulted in her loss of hearing. She was released only when she was on the verge of death, even though she had been crippled for a long period of time. Tongliao Industry and Commerce Bank staff member Ms. Han Lixia was also crippled by the persecution she suffered.

Former Tongliao Industry and Commerce Bank staff member Ms. Zhao Shuyun suffered repeated, savage beatings at the "transformation base". She had cuts and bruises all over her body and severely swollen eyes. Ms. Lei Lihong was hung up and beaten, and she was forced to hold her body bent at a 90-degree angle for two days, which caused her to lose consciousness several times. Also imprisoned at Tumuji Labour Camp were former open-air market vendor Ms. Zhang Yanmei. Former Teaching and Printing Factory staff member Ms. Tian Xin is imprisoned at the Hulunbeier City Women's Labour Camp. Her father Mr. Tian Fujin and mother Ms. Liu Xiurong were both once imprisoned at this labour camp. Ms. Liu Xiurong was subjected to three days and three nights of sleep deprivation and locked up in a warehouse. In order to protest the persecution, she went on a hunger strike, but the guards force-fed her with a highly concentrated saline solution.

Ms. Gao Wa from Baokang Town, Kezuozhong Banner was imprisoned at Tumuji Labour Camp for two years of forced labour for the first time in 2002, where she suffered brutal persecution. She couldn't move her neck due to the savage beatings, and her feet were severely swollen. She was locked in a small cell for 50 days and not allowed to go outside.

Ms. Mao Chunlan from Xing'an League, who is in her sixties, spoke on a practitioner's behalf when guards would not let her see her family when they visited. Ms. Mao was pushed down the stairs by guard Yin Guijuan, which broke her arm.

Ms. Cheng Yufen from Chifeng City is in her sixties. When she was in the second team, she shouted "Falun Dafa is good" in the meeting room. The guard dragged her outside in the cold, where she was forced to stay the entire afternoon.

Ms. Shi Xiuying from Tongliao City was punched, kicked and slapped in the face by Chief Liu for doing the Falun Gong exercises.

Ms. Li Ronglan from Chifeng City was transferred from Hulunbeier City Women's Labour Camp to Tumuji Labour Camp and received a three-month sentence extension.

Mr. Guo Changsuo and his wife Ms. Tang Guixiang, who are from Yakeshi City, are being persecuted at the Tumuji Labour Camp. They have a daughter who is in middle school at home.

The female guards who participated in the torture include Yin Guijuan, Wang Guirong, Su Hongyu, Zhou Liping, Section Chief Song, and Chief Liu.
