Friends of Falun Gong: Speech at Chinese Embassy on April 25th

Today marks the third anniversary of the occasion when 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners gathered in Beijing in silent protest at the onset of the policy of persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese government. It was a totally spontaneous gathering. No one had organised it. No one had decided beforehand that they were going to do so. It was totally unplanned. So much so that the Chinese authorities were taken completely by surprise by the scale of the protest.

April 25th 1999 was a milestone in the history of mankind and it marked an important cosmic change. It has awakened millions of sleeping souls and has shocked and shaken the evil Jiang Zemin regime. It was the day that displayed Falun Gong practitioners’ courage and belief in ‘Truth, Compassion and Forbearance’. It was a day of glory for Falun Dafa.

Sadly that day also marked the beginning of the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese government. Three years have gone past since then. In those three years, the world has witnessed the most brutal persecution ever perpetrated by one government against its own people. Those three years have seen hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners tortured to death, thousands of them imprisoned. Those three years have seen Tiananmen Square covered with the blood of Falun Gong practitioners. How many children have lost their parents, how many wives have lost their husbands, how many people have lost friends and loved ones?

These three years are the greatest three years in human history because Falun Gong practitioners have spilled blood and laid down their lives for their belief. It is a glorious page in mankind’s history. People will never forget Falun Gong practitioners’ strong will or their firm belief in ‘Truth, Compassion, and Forbearance’. It is this firm belief that has fundamentally shaken the Jiang Zemin regime. Jiang Zemin must realise by now that Falun Gong will never disappear. More and more governments and kind-hearted people will stand up and condemn the Jiang Zemin regime and will join us to fight for the freedom of belief of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

The persecution must stop. Office 610 must be disbanded, the policy of ‘Kill Without Mercy’ must be brought to an end, and the freedom to practise Falun Gong must be restored to the citizens of China.
