Recently, the president of the French Falun Dafa Association had the chance to meet several key leaders of France's Green Party, including Mr. Noel Mamere, Green Party Chairman, presidential candidate, MP and Beigle City Mayor; Mrs. Dominique Voynet, the secretary of the Green Party and former minister of the Department of Environmental Protection (who has just resigned to support the Green Party Chairman's presidential election campaign); Alain Lipietz, member of European parliament and Mr. Jean-Marc Brule, Chairman of Asian Affairs Committee of the Green Party.

The practitioner expressed sincere appreciation to Mr. Noel Mamere for his continuous support of Falun Gong, including the Falun Gong seminar held in the French Parliament, and the introduction of the truth of Falun Gong to media, sinologists, academic circles and political figures. The Practitioner also delivered letters to him and Mrs. Dominique Voynet exposing the recent escalating persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, especially what happened in Changchun after the broadcast on cable television which lead to 5,000 practitioners being arrested and death cases sharply increasing. Practitioners hope they will show concern and further support Falun Gong.

Practitioner also thanked Alain Lipietz for writing a letter to Chinese Prime Minister Zhu Rongji to rescue Zhao Ming, who was detained in China due to his belief in Falun Gong. Practitioners told him that Zhao Ming had regained freedom and returned to Ireland to continue his studies and that Zhao Ming will thank him in person when the opportunity arises. Mr. Lipietz said he would very gladly receive Zhao Ming at the European Parliament.
