Finland: Falun Gong Practitioners Support EU Parliament Public Hearing

On November 23rd, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from Helsinki, Finland went to the Chinese Embassy to show their support to the EU parliament for having invited formally three China-based Falun Gong practitioners for a public hearing about China’s human rights. The hearing was held in Brussels, Belgium on November 26th, 2007.

In the rain, the Falun Gong practitioners called for an immediate stop to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong. They warned the Chinese Embassy not to follow the CCP regime to persecute Falun Gong and asked them to quit the CCP as soon as possible to secure a nice future for themselves.

The practitioners displayed banners reading “Falun Dafa is good” and “Stop immediately the persecution of Falun Gong”. In another banner “Strongly denounce the CCP’s organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners and cremating their bodies to destroy all the evidence” and other pictorial posters of the CCP’s cruelty in persecuting Falun Gong were exposed. The practitioners read a public letter to the Chinese Embassy in both Chinese and Finnish.

Many people who came to the Chinese Embassy for visas learned about China’s human rights situation from the public letter and leaflets from the practitioners. Some of them expressed their support.
