On November 17th, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners in Leeds launched activities to raise awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party. Many pedestrians stopped to sign to support stopping the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and many people showed their interest in the peaceful Falun Gong exercises and obtained introductory information about the free Falun Gong classes in their area.

A lady from Vietnam, who has been living in Leeds for more than twenty years, finally had the opportunity to withdraw from the Communist Party in the form of a public statement.
One girl told us that a few months ago she saw Falun Gong practitioners’ distributing leaflets and decided to pass on the truth in her own school. On the Minghui website she saw Falun Gong practitioners were still being persecuted by the Chinese Communists and she was very saddened.
A Hungarian gentleman who had suffered persecution under communism, sent blessings to Falun Gong practitioners for their justice and for taking to the streets in spite of the cold weather. Practitioners gave him the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" DVD and other information about Falun Gong.
