Account of the Persecution Endured by My Parents

I am a young practitioner and a middle school student from Beijing. From the very beginning of the persecution I've worked with my parents to distribute truth-clarifying materials. Later on, mom was illegally sentenced to one year in a forced labour camp. After she was taken away, the police often came to my home to harass my dad and me.

On December 24, 2001, at around 10:00 a.m., several policemen ransacked our home. Without providing a search warrant or identification, they searched every corner of our home for Dafa materials. They turned the rooms into such chaos that clothes and quilts were scattered all over the ground. They took away lots of Dafa materials. Since my dad didn't cooperate with them, they dragged him downstairs and beat him up, kicking and punching him. Downstairs, many people surrounded them, watching. However, no one dared to say anything, although they were very angry about the arrest. Finally, they dragged my dad away. He was only wearing one shoe on his foot.

After arriving at the police station, they beat him up again. His face was black and blue and his mouth was full of blood. The police tried to force him to tell them where the Dafa materials came from, but he didn't tell them. Then, they tied him to a chair for a whole night. Later on, they locked him in an iron cage for another day and night. On the third day, my dad was taken to a detention centre. There, he was interrogated again under threatening conditions. They handcuffed him and beat him up again. The police tried to force him to tell them the source of those Dafa materials, and they also asked him to slander Dafa and the Teacher Li. They ordered him to lie and to give up practicing Falun Gong, but he still refused to cooperate with them. On the third day of the lunar New Year, he was released after being detained for over 30 days.

On February, 21 2002, during the Sino-US summit meeting, Chinese Dictator Jiang said: "In China, if someone was detained, that was because this person broke the Law." It is clear that he was lying. We are arrested and persecuted for even doing the exercises in our own home. Moreover, we are not allowed to speak out the truth. I want to tell all kind-hearted people from all over the world: at the risk of being arrested or sentenced, each day my parents and I do truth-clarifying activities and we hope more and more people will come to know the truth.
