Australia: Introducing Falun Dafa at a Community Market and Gaining Support from Local Residents

On June 24th, 2007, the monthly community market in Yamba, Australia was busy with crowds of people. Falun Gong practitioners set up a booth to introduce Falun Dafa and expose the persecution in China.

Falun Gong practitioners demonstrate the exercises beside the booth where informational materials were available. The exercises are popular in more than eighty countries.

A practitioner exposes the persecution of Falun Gong in China

Many people stopped in front of the practitioners' booth and watched attentively. The melodious exercise music and the practitioners' exercise demonstration caught the attention of passersby. Some practitioners handed out truth-clarification literature introducing the worldwide spread of Falun Gong and exposing the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Upon learning of the persecution, many people were shocked, and signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.

One person told a practitioner that he liked Falun Gong very much. He had adopted twelve children and said he would teach them Falun Gong after returning home. Another person said he saw a poster board about Falun Gong by the roadside and came to learn what Falun Gong was all about. A visitor accepted a flyer from a practitioner and said while pointing at the phone number on the flyer, "This is the only number that I would like to call now." A girl in the neighboring booth said that she knew that many Christians were persecuted in China. The CCP tried to suppress people with violence and got the opposite effect; more and more people believe in Falun Gong. Many people know that the 2008 Olympic Games will be held in China and that the persecution of Falun Gong is counter to the Olympic spirit.

Many bookmarks with little lotus flowers were distributed. People got answers to their questions from the words on the bookmark. Petition forms with signatures were collected. The signatures indicate that many people have learned the truth and chosen a bright future.
