To remember the brave practitioners in China who have been persecuted for eight years, Hungarian practitioners held an information day and appeal in Budapest at the beginning of May, 2007.

At Margaret Island, a famous tourist attraction, posters were hung to show how much Falun Gong has benefited people in over sixty countries and the various torture methods used during the brutal suppression of the practice, launched out of jealousy by Chinese Communist dictator Jiang Zemin.

Many passersby stopped to read the information posters. Some began shedding tears upon reading the stories of practitioners who had been persecuted to death by Chinese prison guards and police because they refused to renounce their belief.

Despite the saddening persecution, some passers-by jumped at the opportunity to learn the exercises during a meditation demonstration. A few of them said that they would be happy to attend the weekly group practice.

Outside the Chinese Embassy banners were hung displaying “eight years of persecution and 3,020 tortured to death,” “We condemn the CCP organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners,” and “Stop the persecution in China.”

Many people stopped, read the information, spoke to practitioners, signed a petition and took fliers.
