Article from Dutch newspaper: Chinese police hold Crackdown on Falun Gong

In the crackdown, the biggest yet, an estimated 5.000 Falun Gong practitioners would have been arrested in Changchun, the capital city of the Northeastern Jilin Province. There [..] Li Hongzhi established Falun Gong ten years ago. And there his adherents replaced tv-programs on the 5th of March by two films in which they questioned the campaign against their movement.

Party leader Jiang Zemin was furious about this sabotage. Falun Gong reported that he had ordered the police to shoot adherents that posted flyers in mailboxes or hung up posters.

In its latest statement Falun Gong does not explain how the dozens, or maybe hundreds, have been killed. Two persons who were suspected to carry out the sabotage, would have been sentenced to death.

The government by standard contradicts the accusations by Falun Gong, that her members are taken to prison, are being mistreated or even killed.

The last case concerns an adherent from Shandong. According to Falun Gong she is beaten to death, according to the government she was electrocuted by ‘accident’ while spreading flyers.
