Université Charles-de-Gaulle Lille 3 was founded in 1560 and is a member of the University Association for European Study. The university has more than 600 faculty and research members and more than 23,000 students. The University's central library recently decided to include Falun Gong materials designed to help people learn about the persecution against the practice, as well as the French version of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party as special editions.
On April 3rd, practitioners in Lille told several library staff members about the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China and the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) organ harvesting atrocities. The person in charge was shocked by the atrocities and decided to offer some help. Because the local practitioners have a limited income and cannot print large volumes of materials, the library decided to make available Falun Gong materials as well as the Nine Commentaries, so that more people can have an opportunity to learn this important information.

The library also wanted to receive the Epoch Times regularly so that its readers can learn up-to-date information about the persecution and better see the evil nature of the CCP.
Lille is the fourth largest city in France and the capital of NORD-PAS-DE-CALAIS. Since the tunnel under the English Channel was completed in 1994, Lille has become more visible around the world as the TGV transit center connecting London, Paris, and Brussels.
