Mr. Guo Zhenge, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Paiziling Village, Qianjiadian Township, Yanqing County, Beijing City, was sentenced to two years of forced labour by the National Security Agents with the excuse of "harbouring Falun Gong books" on January 30th, 2005.

At Division No. 3 of Beijing Tuanhe Men's Forced Labour Camp, the prison guards and prisoners tortured him with various methods to try to force him to renounce Falun Gong. Prison guards Li Wei and Gao Jianguo locked him in a workshop storage room and tortured him. The prison guards directed prisoners Wang Aimin and Zhu Tianlin to beat Guo Zhenge. They deprived him of sleep for many nights. Guo Zhenge had to sit on a stool without moving every day as the prisoners strictly monitored him. He was not allowed to go out of the room. The porridge given to him was only rice broth without any rice. The food given to him was less than half of the normal quantity for detainees. He was deprived of vegetables all year round. Guo Zhenge became severely emaciated.

Guo Zhenge suffered a mental collapse as result of the long term mental and physical persecution carried out in the Party's forced labour camp. Under such circumstances, the prison guards in Tuanhe Forced Labour Camp, however, are still threatening to add a one-year extension to Guo Zhenge's term.
