The Jiangsu Province Hongzehu Prison is also called Hongze Farm, which is located by Hongze Lake in Sihong County, Jiangsu Province. Many Falun Dafa practitioners were employed by the farm in the past. They cultivated their character to become better people, eliminate illness, and to keep fit.

After July 20th, 1999, when the persecution of Falun Gong began, some officials working at the farm followed the vile party's orders and started to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. They mistreated practitioners in many different ways. Due to the efforts of practitioners explaining the facts about Falun Dafa, many officials have awakened during the persecution. They have become clear headed, and are no longer willing to help the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). They realised that Falun Dafa practitioners are good and truthful people, and that the persecution is illegal. Yet, there are some who still continue to help the CCP persecute practitioners.

Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Zang Shuqin previously had atrophied muscles, but quickly recovered after Falun Dafa practice. He was detained multiple times and tortured at the Hongze Farm. On September 18th, 2006, he was detained again. He is being watched by more than ten guards. Prison 610 Office1 agents Tang Jinchao (male) and Cao Xinhong (gender unknown) are brainwashing him every day. Mr. Zang Shuqin is resisting the brainwashing completely, and holding onto the truth. It has now been more then twenty days since he was detained.

At least forty practitioners are being detained in Hongzehu Prison. Practitioners from Jiangsu Province are concentrated here.

Note

1. "The 610 office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.
