Slovakia: Series of Activities against the Persecution of Falun Gong in China

From Thursday October 19th until the end of the week, in a few cities in Eastern Slovakia there took place a series of activities to support the human rights of people who are persecuted in China because they practise Falun Gong.

A few practitioners visited Presov, Kosice and Levoca (the largest cities in Eastern Slovakia), so that more people could learn about the persecution of Falun Gong. Presov and Kosice are cities, where Falun Gong is regularly practiced which could be seen also from positive reactions of people on the street and while signing the petition. Most of the people, after seeing the horrible scenes from the persecution in China, without a word stepped forward to sign the petition against the persecution. During these few days more then six hundred signatures were collected. We were very happy that one blind man signed our petition, perhaps he sees further than many others, we thought.

Some people took flyers also for their friends or neighbours, so that they can also learn about Falun Gong.

The atmosphere was very pleasant, aided by the peaceful Falun Gong exercises. In Presov a few young children wanted to participate in the distribution of flyers and one little boy immediately started to learn the exercises.

The local newspaper Vecernik Korzar positively informed their readers about the petition activities.
