On September 16th, Oregon practitioners participated in a parade in Beaverton to introduce the beauty of Falun Dafa and raise awareness of the brutal persecution in China to local residents.

The practitioners were warmly welcomed. Spectators gave the "thumbs up", cheered and applauded as the Falun Gong group passed by. The Falun Gong entry won a second place award in its category.
Practitioner Xiangfen Liu just came to the US recently. She was detained and tortured in the Tangshan Forced Labour Camp for her belief in Falun Gong. The peaceful parade and people's eagerness to learn about Falun Gong deeply touched her. She said that she immersed herself completely in this wonderful atmosphere of peace and harmony after fleeing the regime of terror. Seeing the positive attitude of people in the free world toward Falun Gong, she feels very sorry for so many Chinese who can't take an objective view of the practice because of the persecution.
