On September 9th, 2006, the Canadian Divine Land Marching Band, consisting of Canadian Falun Gong practitioners, was invited to perform in the Autumn Parade in old-town Toronto, which has been held for over thirty years. The spectators enjoyed the performance. A city representative Pam was glad to see the band in the parade. She said that it was the third time for her to see a performance by the Divine Land Band this summer. She has very good impression of the band, and enjoys its performances immensely.

After the parade, the band performed for the citizens on the street for two hours. Members of the band passed out materials exposing the truth of the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party. Many people signed their names to petitions asking the Canadian government to take action to stop the persecution.

Although the Canadian Divine Land Marching Band was set up only five months ago, it has performed almost every weekend this past summer at different places. They have become a popular big band in Toronto. Jiang Fa, the manager of the band, said that they would keep performing for communities in the months and years to come.
