On September 2nd, 2006, the Moscow City Festival took place. Hundreds of thousands of Moscow residents held various activities at over three hundred spots to mark the 859th anniversary of the establishment of the City. Falun Gong practitioners in Moscow participated in the activities in different communities; they recited poems, sang, danced, demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, and handed out paper lotus flowers to bring something of Falun Dafa's goodness to the people of Moscow. They also exposed to local people the facts of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
