Ms. Luo Xizhen is a 40-year-old resident of Renao Village, Qinghe Town, Jian City, Tonghua, Jilin Province. She started practising Falun Gong in 1997. For several years since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong, Ms. Luo has been repeatedly victimised for her firm belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance." After she was released from a labour camp, she weighed only 93 pounds. When her friends and relatives saw her state, they cried.

Before Ms. Luo practised Falun Gong, she suffered from several diseases, including urethritis and nephritis, as well as gynaecological problems, among others. After she started practising Falun Dafa, she completely recovered from her diseases without any medicine. Ms. Luo’s moral standard began to rise and her once difficult family environment became harmonious.

When the Chinese Communist Party began the persecution, the authorities used the media to slander Falun Dafa. Since then many Dafa practitioners have gone to Beijing one by one to explain the true situation of Dafa. Ms. Luo also went to Beijing on July 20th, 2000, and was arrested on July 21st. When police officers Liu Zhixi and Jin from the Qinghe Town Police Station took Ms. Luo and several other practitioners back to their hometown, they forced the practitioners to wear heavy leg irons until they reached the Jian City Detention Centre, where officer Dong Benjun spouted obscenities and insulted Ms. Luo and the other practitioners. During her imprisonment at the Jian Detention Centre, officers from the Qinghe Town Police Station threatened Ms. Luo’s husband and told him that if he didn’t hand over 1,000 yuan1 in fines, they would take his motorcycle. Her husband had no choice but to give the money to the police. After spending a month at the Jian Detention Centre, Ms. Luo was released.

In October 2000, she was arrested and held at the Jian Detention Centre for another month because she spoke to people about the facts of Falun Dafa.

On the evening of December 14th, 2002, while Ms. Luo was sewing, seven police officers led by Dong Benjun suddenly rushed into her home and searched it. They confiscated Ms. Luo’s Dafa books and leaflets exposing the persecution, and then took her to the Qinghe Town Police Station. Ms. Luo walked out of the police station between 1 and 2 a.m., but they arrested her again at around 7 a.m. and brought her back to the police station.

Officer Dalong grabbed Ms. Luo’s hair and savagely slammed her head against a wall, and then he started punching and kicking her. Ms. Luo’s head was covered with injuries. During the beating he threatened her, saying, "Don’t let me catch you trying to run again. If you do I’ll kill you!" Officer Yu also beat Ms. Luo, saying, "This is for the trouble you caused me! If you’d gotten away, I would have lost my job!" The police also extorted 100 yuan from Ms. Luo, calling it an "arrest fee."

On December 15th, 2002 Ms. Luo was transferred to the Jian City Detention Centre, where Dalong fiercely punched Ms. Luo in the face and forced her to stand on the concrete floor with bare feet for about an hour and a half. One side of Ms. Luo’s face turned blue. She was imprisoned in the Jian City Detention Centre for more than three months.

On around March 16th, 2003, Ms. Luo was sentenced to two years of "re-education" through forced labour in the Heizuizi Women’s Forced Labour Camp in Changchun City. During her imprisonment in the Third Team, Second Division, several inmates took turns torturing her. They wouldn’t let her sleep, and they often threatened and beat her, and forced her to stand from morning until midnight every day for two weeks. She was forced to work every day, and if she couldn’t finish her assignment, she was denied her break. When Ms. Luo refused to cooperate with the persecution, she was taken to the guard office, where chief jailer Liu Lianying used an electric baton to shock Ms. Luo on her head, face and genitals. During another session in the guard office, Ms. Luo’s hands were handcuffed behind her back and Liu Lianying shocked her on the face with an electric baton, causing severe burns. Another time a guard directed an inmate to act as a lookout at the cell door while three more inmates held Ms. Luo down on the floor and stabbed her with a needle all over her body.

Once, officer Lang Cuiping had the inmates tie Ms. Luo to a bed with her limbs spread out for four days and four nights.

Ms. Luo went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, so chief jailer Liu Lianying and officer Lang Cuiping incited the inmates and the camp’s doctors to force-feed her. Several inmates held Ms. Luo down. Inmate Fu Qiaoyun, who practised martial arts, stomped on Ms. Luo’s chest, which caused her to suffer severe chest pain for long time. They inserted an adjustable stainless steel instrument into her mouth and used it to force her mouth open to its limit. Then they inserted two rubber tubes (one as wide as a finger) into Ms. Luo’s nostril and mouth. They force-fed her a mixture of liquefied steamed bun and salt water. The torture was extremely painful. Ms. Luo was force-fed four times during her imprisonment in the labour camp.

Ms. Luo’s term was extended by twenty days because she refused to cooperate with the persecutors.

Before Ms. Luo was sent to the labour camp, she weighed 168 pounds. When she was released from the camp two years later, she weighed only 93 pounds. When her family, relatives and friends saw her condition after her release, they all cried.

Even after Ms. Luo got home, the police from the Qinghe Town Police Station and officials from the town government continued to harass her. Ms. Luo and her family suffered grievously due to the persecution. So many Dafa practitioners’ families have been broken, and many practitioners have lost their lives because of the CCP’s persecution in China.

The Chinese Communist Party has used every means at their disposal to persecute the good people who believe in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance." We hope that all the kind-hearted people of the world who know the difference between right and wrong will come together to stop this brutal persecution.
