Starting April 14th, 2006, the Heilongjiang Provincial Women's Prison reorganized the detained Falun Dafa practitioners, and cancelled the "training centre unit" where the steadfast practitioners were imprisoned. They transferred practitioners to other prison areas individually, isolating them so that each prison cell had only one practitioner. During the daytime, the criminal inmates would go to the workshop to do labour, and only in the evening could practitioners have contact with the other inmates. Since May 5th, the Heilongjiang Province Judicial Department and the prison administrative bureau issued a notice prohibiting family members from visiting the prison. A month has passed, and this prohibition has not yet been lifted.

Since the harvesting of organs from living Dafa practitioners for profit at Chinese Communist Party labour camps and prisons was exposed, public figures and organizations throughout the world have been trying to go to mainland China to investigate the situation. They hope to investigate the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners over the past seven years at each large prison, labour camp, and detention centre all over the country.
