Ever since the CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners were exposed, more and more Americans from all circles have learned the facts and in succession expressed their concerns. In response to the organ harvesting issue, on June 13th, the New Castle County Council from Delaware unanimously passed a resolution which requested an international investigation of the Chinese concentration camps used to detain Falun Gong practitioners. Meanwhile, the resolution also called for the immediate end of the persecution of Falun Gong. Two weeks earlier, Wilmington, the largest city in Delaware, passed a similar resolution.

New Castle County Council Unanimously Passes resolution to support Falun Gong

Councilwomen Venezky and Tansey sponsored the resolution. Ms. Venezky commended local Falun Gong practitioners. She said that Falun Gong practitioners are good residents, they improve themselves through cultivation of Falun Gong and have been conducting persistent efforts to stop the persecution. She pointed out that the resolution calls for attention from society to the CCP’s atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners detained in Chinese concentration camps and urge an independent investigation of such crimes.

At the council, a practitioner representative thanked the council for passing the resolution and briefly introduced to the meeting attendees the truth of the persecution of Falun Gong in China and the recently revealed CCP’s concentration camps where practitioners’ organs are being harvested.

Delaware practitioners have held a series of activities, including a press conference and a signature drive to raise pubic awareness of the organ harvesting issue.
