Mr. Peng Yiliu, a resident of Pan County, Guizhou Province, has been persecuted in the Zhongba Forced Labour Camp at the hands of police guard Xu Fayuan. On May 31st, 2005, after Mr. Peng wrote a declaration to continue practising Falun Gong, he was tied up with a rope and sent to a "conquering room" the next day. He was tortured until the morning of June 2nd, when other camp detainees lined up for roster checking. His screams were heard throughout the squadron. To try to stop the guards, all Falun Gong practitioners spoke out at the same time, saying, "Don't beat people." Practitioners in the 2nd squadron broke into the "conquering room" and rescued Mr. Peng. Afterwards, he was put back in the same room and was beaten and tortured. His head was severely injured and sustained a three-inch long wound, which bled profusely. He was later sent to the garrison, where he was continuously persecuted for about fifty days.

Mr. Tian Zongfu wrote a declaration to continue practising Falun Gong, which was obtained by Huang Gan, head of the 3rd squadron. The declaration was turned over to the brigade deputy captain, Xu Fayuan, and on December 24th, 2003, Mr. Tian was sent to the 2nd squadron to be persecuted. Xu Fayuan put Mr. Tian into the "conquering room" and instigated drug addict inmate Chen Binbin, and Wang Jian to torture him. The two did not allow Mr. Tian to use the toilet. When Tian could not stand it any longer and urinated in his trousers and the floor, they forced him to take off his trousers and mop the floor with them. They also made him use his blanket to clean it up. Later, they forced Mr. Tian to squat down for a very long time period in the same position. The inmates pushed him down on the floor and stepped on his toes and the backs of his feet with heavy boots because he resisted the torture. Some inmates kicked him all over, stomped back and forth on the backs of his calves, and whipped his feet with plastic sandals, causing his feet to bruise and swell and his toes to develop blisters.

Mr. Tian still refused to cooperate with them. The inmates tied his hair to the window, leaving him unable to stand up or squat down, and pierced his middle and ring fingers with a steel needle resulting in pus discharges and distortion of his middle finger. The steel needles were used to pierce his back and legs, and punctured a major artery in his leg. Blood gushed out, soaking all three layers of Mr. Tian's trousers.

Using a large metal hook, the inmates beat his head until it bled. The other tortures they subjected him to were even more atrocious. They beat his chest and ribs causing him to struggle breathing and eventually pass out. They threw cold water on his face in order to revive him. Despite everything, Mr. Tian did not cooperate with them and refused to give up practising Falun Gong. The torture continued until 3:00 p.m. the next day.
