In April 2006, practitioners from Pingdong gathered together outside the Pingdong Bureau of Culture to commemorate fellow practitioners persecuted to death in Mainland China and to call for an immediate end to the ongoing slaughter. They also called on the international community and human right organisations of the United Nations to assist in investigating CCP atrocities with regard to harvesting and selling organs from living practitioners and then cremating the remains to destroy the evidence.

Falun Gong practitioners rallied in front of the Pingdong Bureau of Culture calling for an investigation of the Chinese Communist regime' labour camps

Practitioners held up banners and posters and commemorated fellow practitioners persecuted to death. They hoped that people in Taiwan would come to know the evil nature of the Chinese Communist Party and help to stop this persecution against human rights and freedom of belief.

Practitioners' bright yellow T-shirts were very eye-catching under the streetlights, while the photos with their explanatory captions effectively narrated the evil crimes.

Practitioners' peaceful appeal was in dramatic contrast to the brutality of the CCP. Passers-by expressed their support and understanding. Many were willing to sign a petition calling for an end to the persecution and calling on the international community and human right organisations to assist in a complete investigation of all Chinese forced labour camps, prisons, hospitals and other facilities used to detain Falun Gong practitioners.
