On April 8th, 2006, a press conference was held by practitioners in the Asia-Pacific region to condemn the organ-harvesting atrocities in the Sujiatun concentration camp as well as other concentration camps in China as well as to expose the CCP's persecution.

The press conference was held in Tainan, Taiwan and was initiated by practitioners in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Macao to expose and condemn the Chinese communist regime for setting up [at least] 36 concentration camps similar to Sujiatun Concentration Camp. The organs of living Falun Gong practitioners are harvested at these camps for profit, and the remains of practitioners are then cremated to destroy the evidence.

Reenactment of live organ removal and sale. Audiences are shocked.

Condemning CCP atrocities and supporting nearly ten million withdrawals from CCP People from all walks of life hold banners and posters around Dongning Park, forming a "great wall of truth."

The press conference was hosted by the Taiwan Falun Dafa Association, the Taiwan Association for Rescuing Falun Gong Practitioners Being Persecuted, and The Epoch Times.

A reenactment of live organ removal and a "Great Wall of Truth" were also held. Guests including Lai Qing-de, member of Legislative Committee, Chen Jian-guo, confidential secretary of city government, three city council members and several doctors and scholars were invited to participate.

Mr. Yang from the Taiwan Falun Dafa Association said, "The CCP is going to destroy the evidence, so a massacre is currently occurring. On April 4th, 2006, the Falun Dafa Association and the Minghui website founded 'The Integrated Committee to Investigate the Secret Sujiatun Concentration Camp and the Facts of the Persecution of Falun Gong in China'. We invite all related international organisations, state agencies and media to join us in requesting to go to China to conduct an independent, direct, interference-free investigation to collect evidence, and completely search for the truth of the persecution of Falun Gong, including the Sujiatun Concentration Camp and other secret concentration camps. Let the facts of the persecution be exposed as soon as possible, so that this brutal persecution that has lasted almost seven years can end."

[Editor's Note: Recent reports have given indications that after the organ-harvesting at the Sujiatun concentration camp was revealed, the Chinese regime moved Falun Gong practitioners from the camp to undisclosed locations. There is no longer any evidence of persecution of organ-harvesting at the Sujiatun concentration camp.]

Member of Legislative Committee Lai Qing-de calls on Taiwan people about two issues from his standpoint as a doctor

Member of Legislative Committee and doctor Lai Qing-de called on the Taiwanese people: "The first issue is that one should not go to China for an organ transplant for their own personal health because if there is a need for organs then this makes Falun Gong practitioners and others become victims. The second issue is that one should not only be interested in China's vast economic market, while not paying attention to the evil nature of CCP. Innocent people are persecuted there. Otherwise, in the end, you will also be harmed."

Prof. Ai Chang-rui

Prof. Ai Chang-rui talked about the possible existence of a large number of people as sources for live organs in China from the point of view of business, sales and marketing. He gave two examples; The Urology Department of the No 2 Military Medical University carries an advisement on its website: good quality kidney's, operational immediately after surgery, ample supply of kidney's available with a short waiting time. The Organ transplantation Institute of Shenyang Medical University also carries an advertisement on its website: Waiting time for kidney transplantation is generally less than one week, at most within one month a suitable supplier will be found; the waiting time for a liver transplantation is at most two months. It also stressed that if the supplied liver is found unsuitable during operation, another one can be found within a week. There must be a huge supply of organ's available from living subjects! The advertisement has been run in many languages including Chinese, English, Korean, Russian and Japanese.

The secretary of Tainan city government said the government should support the Falun Dafa Association and expose as well as condemn the CCP's evil nature.

Doctor Chong Shun-qian from Qimei Hospital pointed out that an article on the website of Shanghai Fudan University mentioned that within the last five years, 92 people from Gaohsing had liver transplantation in mainland China. He called on those in medical circles to not become accomplices of the cruel regime. Doctors should think: Does this conform to medical ethics to encourage patients to go to mainland China to have organ transplantation?
