Beijing practitioner Ms. Yang Xiaojing, born on July 9th, 1964, is a senior engineer at the Beijing Institute of Power Supply Design. She lives in Chaoyang District of Beijing. Ms. Yang started practising Falun Gong in 1994.

On May 20th, 2001, while she was returning home from work, policeman Wu Liya from Jianguomen Police Station arrested her. Since she had not been "transformed1" in her workplace, police sent her for brainwashing in the "Law Enforcement Training Centre". After four days of non-cooperation with the brainwashing, Ms. Yang was transferred to Dongcheng District Detention Centre and was detained there for one month. Afterwards, Ms. Yang was sentenced to a year and a half of forced labour.

In 2004, after Ms. Yang Xiaojing returned to Beijing from other provinces, she was in contact with Ms. Zhang Lixin from Chaoyang District. Yang Xiaojing admired Zhang Lixin very much and told others that Zhang Lixin had reached a very high level in her cultivation. Since Yang Xiaojing had some computer knowledge, Zhang Lixin frequently asked Yang Xiaojing to go to her home and help fix her computer.

Zhang Lixin was sentenced to a prison term in the later half of 2000. There was not enough space in the women's prison, so she was detained in the Juvenile Correction Centre and soon "transformed." She then joined Yao Jie and another eight persons assisting in the transformation of Falun Gong practitioners. The ten assistants prepared a set of stage performances to show to all prisoners. They sang "The Same Song" on stage. They praised the communist party and transformation. According to people who were with Zhang at the time, Zhang once declared that she was resuming her practice of Falun Gong but she went astray again. Her face swelled once and she exhibited abnormal behaviour, such as not taking a bath for a very long time. She confused some practitioners, leading them to believe that she had not been "transformed" so that they would admire her.

In March of 2004, the Minghui/Clearwisdom website published two articles exposing Zhang Lixin and a spy named Hao Libin who destroyed many sites producing leaflets exposing the persecution. The arrest of several practitioners resulted. Yang Xiaojing was shocked after reading the two articles. She talked to Zhang Lixin several times and urged her not to continue to be with the spy and not to be manipulated by the spy to be involved in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Zhang Lixin did not listen but said others were jealous of her and thus it was others' issue and not hers. After realising her effort was in vain, Yang Xiaojing had seldom visited Zhang Lixin following other practitioners' and her family's suggestions.

On April 20th, 2004, Zhang Lixin called Yang Xiaojing and asked Yang to go to her house for a Falun Dafa book. Yang Xiaojing did not intend to go initially. Then Zhang Lixin said her parents' computer needed her help to fix. So Yang Xiaojing agreed to go. On April 21st, Yang Xiaojing went to Zhang Lixin's home and was followed by National Security Bureau policemen while she returned home in the evening. The police followed her home. The next day in the morning, more than ten police broke into and searched Yang Xiaojing's home. They took Yang to Chaoyang District Police Branch after they found video CD's and other materials exposing the persecution. The practitioner who accompanied Yang Xiaojing home that evening was also arrested and sent to a forced labour camp (this practitioner's name is to be found out). On May 19th, Yang Xiaojing was sentenced to two and a half years of forced labour and sent to the 2nd Brigade (so-called "conquer-the-hard team") of Beijing Tiantanghe Women's Forced Labour Camp. The labour camp policemen instigated inmates to torture her with all kinds of methods including beating, standing punishment, deprivation of sleep, etc. Yang Xiaojing was tortured to unconsciousness. Up to now, she has been tortured in the labour camp.

On the 6th day after Yang Xiaojing was arrested, April 28th, 2004, Zhang Lixin went to Yang's home to, supposedly, comfort her family. The local policemen came to check on Zhang Lixin after being informed by some informant. Zhang did not expect this to happen and she just remained silent. The local police requested to search Zhang's bag but Zhang refused to let them search it. Then several policemen wanted to take Zhang away but Zhang resisted. Both parties refused to give in from over 8 o'clock in the morning until 2 in the afternoon. Yang Xiaojing's family then told the police that her name was Zhang Lixin and she was there to comfort them. The police then searched the name on the Internet and was happy to find out that Zhang Lixin was a local Falun Gong contact person and also had been in prison before. The police thought they had caught a big fish so they sent for several more police vehicles and a dozen policemen planning to take Zhang Lixin away. Zhang realised she could not get away with it easily. Then she took 3,000 Yuan2 out of her bag and told the police that she had to entrust the money to Yang Xiaojing's family and ask them to count it on the spot. After being allowed by the police, Zhang Lixin told Yang's family, "I really do not want to get in prison again. I do not want to work for them any more." Afterwards, she was taken away by the police. While the police pushed her into the police vehicle, Zhang Lixin resisted by pressing her feet against the car and calling out "Falun Dafa is good." Then the police forced her into the car and took her away.

Since they experienced two arrests within a week and Zhang Lixin said such things to them before being arrested, Yang Xiaojing's family was very upset. After 8 o'clock in the evening, they thought they should make a phone call to Zhang Lixin's parents and let them know what happened to her. The person on the other end of the phone line was exactly Zhang Lixin herself and she told Yang's family she would explain to them later. Afterwards, Zhang Lixin called Yang's family and requested to get the money back. Yang's family was already alert to Zhang's behaviour so they told her not to come and arrange to meet her at another place instead. But Zhang still went to Yang's home. Yang Xiaojing's family did not open the door immediately but called in local police and returned the money in the presence of the police. Zhang Lixin explained to Yang's family that one of her acquaintances got her out from the police.

As learned from the local policeman, the day they took Zhang Lixin to the Asian Games Village Police Station they thought they had arrested an important figure. However, the Chaoyang District Police Branch's National Security Division suddenly called them and told them Zhang is involved in a big case and they would send a vehicle to pick her up. At the time, all the materials and video CD's searched from Zhang's bag were piled up on the desk and were taken away by the person who picked up Zhang later. The person said to Zhang Lixin, "Let's go" and then drove her away. This person was the spy Hao Libin. However, Zhang Lixin told other practitioners that she got out of the police's hand because she had explained the true situation of Falun Gong to them for several hours.

Judging from these facts, the arrest of Yang Xiaojing is likely to be a trap devised by the communist party spies. They use this method to arrest those practitioners whom they consider "dangerous" (For example, Yang Xiaojing knew how to operate a computer and get on the Internet. She also started to realise the danger about Zhang Lixin.) Minghui website has a lot of reports on the spy Hao Libin, but many of us may have neglected the role of Zhang Lixin. If it was not for Zhang Lixin, Hao Libin could not have done so much damage in the past few years. Based on what happened in the past, Zhang Lixin not only has been unintentionally manipulated by spies, but has been consciously cooperating with the communist party spies and persecuting Falun Gong practitioners from inside.
