Recently it has been learned that more Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death. The following are four more cases.

Ms. Xie Xiumei, 57 years old, resident of Huolinguole City, Inner Mongolia

Ms. Xie was formerly an employee of the Dongmeng Co. of the Huoling River Coal Mine Enterprise. In July 1997, she began practising Falun Gong. Through Falun Gong cultivation practice, her previous illnesses, which had plagued her, gradually disappeared. The physical relief and great improvement of her quality of life enhanced her firm belief in Falun Dafa. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Jiang Zemin, and his associates began their frantic and cruel persecution against Falun Dafa on July 20th, 1999. To explain the true situation of Falun Dafa to the government, on June 20th, 2000, Ms. Xie Xiumei went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. But she ended up being taken away to a local detention centre for one month. In early 2002, Ms. Xie was again arrested and sent to the Huolingguole City Detention Centre by local police. She was detained there for more than 40 days. During that time police intimidated Ms. Xie's family members and extorted up to 10,000 yuan1 from them. Despite this, in October 2002, the police arrested Ms. Xie Xiumei and took her to their local brainwashing centre for further persecution. As a result of the long-term persecution, Ms. Xie died from illness on November 19th, 2005.

Ms. Fan Daozhi, 61 years old, from Wuhan City, Hubei Province

After she started practising Falun Gong in 1995, Ms. Fan miraculously recovered from her diabetes and felt cheerful and lively. In December 1999, on her way to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, Ms. Fan was intercepted at the Hankou Train Station and detained for one day and one night, in addition to being fined 200 yuan. In April 2000, on her way to appeal in Beijing, she was again arrested and detained in the Hewan Forced Labour Camp. Three months later, Ms. Fan's severe suffering, both mentally and physically from the persecution, caused a relapse of her diabetes. In July 2001, she was released on bond for medical treatment. After arriving at home, Ms. Fan intensified her unyielding cultivation and kept explaining the truth of Falun Gong to others. The lawless authorities continued to harass her in her home. Under the long-term harassment and persecution by CCP personnel, Ms. Fan died of illness in late October 2005.

Ms. Zhang Jifeng, 64, from Dongxiaozhuan Village, Zhoulu County, Hebei Province

After Ms. Zhang Jifeng began practising Falun Gong, she regained her health and made a complete recovery from her previous illnesses, including back and leg pain, hemiplegia, and other problems. After July 20th, 1999, under the harassments and threats from her village government and the local police station, Ms. Zhang experienced a recurrence of her old illnesses and died on January 9th, 2006.

Mr. Kang Zhanyuan, 60-year-old teacher in Wubao Town, Zhoulu County, Hebei Province

Before July 20th, 1999, Mr. Kang was very healthy as a result of practising Falun Gong. He participated in a peaceful appeal to the Beijing government on April 25th, 1999. Later, Mr. Kang faced severe persecution, including being harassed, monitored and followed, harassed to give up his beliefs, having his personal freedom limited, and being restricted to his home. Under the CCP's high pressure and alarming tactics, this elderly man was so afraid that he did not dare to continue practising Falun Gong. Amid the frenzied persecution, Mr. Kang was so terrified that he became gravely ill and passed away in the summer of 1999.
