Dongfeng County, Jilin Province

Policemen from Dongfeng County were very rampant in their persecution of practitioners. They sent all detained practitioners to forced labour camps and said, "You'll find out how they are once you get to the forced labour camp." They also said, "People like you guys should all be shot to death." The enforcers also fined practitioners huge amounts of money. After they escorted a practitioner back from Beijing, they confiscated all of his money.

Lanzhou City, Gansu Province

Lawless enforcers in Lanzhou City set up a brainwashing class at the warehouse of a department store located in the Gongjiawan area. They put up a sign reading, "Law Education Centre." Everything they did there, however, was thoroughly illegal, was against the law and violated the law.

Over ten Dafa practitioners who had been abducted to this brainwashing class were either arrested by force or had been tricked there. Some of them were kidnapped while having meals at restaurant with family members, some while they were taking care of their elderly parents at a hospital and some were forcibly taken away from workplaces.

Upon arriving at this the brainwashing class, every practitioner was extorted 6,000 Yuan, over and above the force-feeding "expenses" and "medical treatment fee." Each practitioner's work unit had to assign two people to watch a single practitioner. These two people ate and lived together with the practitioner and the practitioner had to pay their food and lodging expenses.

This brainwashing class is more horrible than prisons. Practitioners are not allowed to have contact with and talk to each other. They are not allowed to read or do the exercises. They are not allowed visits by family members. Even the most basic human rights are being ignored here.

Enforcers who "work" here include officials from the Municipal Political & Judiciary Committee, police officers from Municipal Police Department, so-called "experts and scholars" and some spies or people who have given up their practice of Falun Gong and who claim to be "practitioners". The ratio between the "working staff" and Dafa practitioners is 7:1. Everyday, about seven to eight persons would surround a practitioner, shouting, threatening, abusing, slandering and rumor mongering. The means they had adopted were unscrupulous.

During that period they even brought a Dafa practitioner from Ping'antai Forced Labour Camp in Lanzhou City. This practitioner was beaten so severely that his legs became useless. They still put shackles on this practitioner though his legs were severely swollen. By doing so, the "Law Education Centre" enforcers were attempting to "educate" those practitioners who refused to give in.

Gulang County, Gansu Province

The lawless authorities in Gulang County of Gansu Province closely follow Jiang’s orders in persecuting Dafa practitioners. Around the New Year's Day of 2001, they trapped and kidnapped 12 practitioners and illegally detained them for 180-300 days. They also extorted about 1,000 Yuan from each practitioner. Some female practitioners were sent to a forced labour camp without any due process of law. They were only shown the detention documents when they were about to be sent to Ping'antai Forced Labour Camp. Recently, as soon as a certain practitioner was released and had returned home, enforcers form Gulang County's Politics and Law Committee and from the security team of the police department immediately went to harass the practitioner who refused to let them in.

In July 2001, Dafa truth-clarifying materials and Dafa banners appeared in the county. The lawless enforcers were extremely frightened. They tricked two practitioners with the excuse of "having a talk with them" and illegally detained them for about 100 days. In the meantime, they also extorted lots of money from them.
