In spite of snow and sleet, Falun Gong practitioners from Norway and Sweden held an activity at Karl Johan Street, the main street in Oslo on December 10th, International Human Rights Day. The purpose of the activity was to expose the Chinese Communist regime's crimes against Falun Gong practitioners in China, where practitioners have been harassed, tortured, raped and murdered because they try to be good people by following Truth, Compassion, Forbearance, the principles of Falun Gong.

Not long ago two women, aged forty two and fifty one, were kidnapped in the middle of the night, interrogated, beaten and raped by the Chinese police in Hebei province. This happened at the same time as when the UN's Special Rapporteur on torture visited China. The practitioners hope that international society can focus on the persecution of Falun Gong in China and the human rights atrocities that the Chinese Communist regime is responsible for.

During the activity, the practitioners re-enacted a torture scene to let people who passed by understand some of the suffering that Falun Gong practitioners in China have to bear. With a loudspeaker the practitioner talked about the persecution and what Falun Gong really is, to give the people walking down Karl Johan Street that afternoon the opportunity to hear about the persecution. The exhibition got people’s attention and many people expressed their support for Falun Gong and condemned the persecution.
