On the 19th of December, Falun Gong practitioners in Denmark went to the Thai Embassy to submit an open letter stating serious concern and protest at the recent infringement of Falun Gong practitioners' human rights in Thailand.

After the exposure of policeman He Xuejian's raping women practitioners in Hebei Province, China, Thai practitioners protested peacefully in front of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand since December 6th 2005. They exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) atrocities and called on the international community to help end the 6-year-long brutal persecution of Falun Gong in China. The activity received support from local people and was covered by many media organisations.

In the following days, Thai police intervened with the practitioners with the excuse of checking their identification. They forcefully searched practitioners' handbags, snatched banners and pulled the practitioners. The practitioners were physically injured and suffered financially to some degree.

On December 14th, Thai police beat practitioners who were distributing leaflets in Pattaya, a renowned tourist city. On December 15th, the Thai police arrested 8 practitioners in front of the Chinese Embassy. Six of them are still being detained at the Immigration Office. The officials in the Immigration Office have behaved badly and the practitioners being detained were holding a hunger strike. Among the practitioners being detained, two have children of 4 and 6 years old, respectively. The children were left unattended because of the unlawful detention.

In the letter that the Danish practitioners gave in to the embassy, they introduced the wave of withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since international newspaper The Epoch Times published a series of editorials called "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party"; they warned the Thai leader to get a clear understanding of the situation and not to yield to the evil party to avoid going down with the CCP in its inevitable demise. Along with the letter, leaflets about Falun Gong and an English edition of the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" were enclosed.

Several Thai Falun Gong practitioners are still illegally detained in a Thailand detention centre. They were on a hunger strike to protest against the serious infringement of their lawful and legal rights.

Some of the detained practitioners suffered from the cruel persecution by the evil party in China before escaping to Thailand. Some lost their relatives as a result of the persecution. One of the practitioners detained in Thailand is a young girl whose parents were killed by the CCP because they practised Falun Gong. They did not expect that after fleeing from human rights abuses in China, they would be locked up unreasonably by the Thai government and police who yielded to the CCP and deprived them of personal freedom. They are refugees protected by the United Nations because who were part of a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand to tell the kind-hearted Thai people about the evil crimes of the Hebei policeman who raped two female Falun Gong practitioners recently.

If no third country accepts them, they will continue to be detained. The Thai Government claims to be a democratic government, yet it followed the CCP in persecuting kindhearted people wantonly. This is a crime that can't be accepted by the people of a democratic society.

When practitioners went to the Thai Embassy, the staff member who received them seemed very nervous. Practitioners made a request to talk to the Ambassador and gave the staff member a copy of their letter and other material. This staff member went upstairs. A lot of nervous, fierce discussion could be heard from upstairs. After a long while, she came down and said that the Consul will send the letter back to Thailand. She reluctantly accepted the practitioners' letter and related material. The Ambassador or the Consul did not make an appearance.

Meanwhile, several practitioners outside the Thai Embassy showed banners reading "Stop Persecuting Falun Gong", "Falun Gong is Good" and "The World Needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance."
