Ms. Yao Guimin, 43 years old, was a Falun Dafa practitioner from North Ganquan Village in Luquantun Town, Wucheng County, Shandong Province. She went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution of Falun Dafa in 1999, and she was detained in the Wucheng Detention Centre. After being released, the Wucheng and Luquantun Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Committees frequently went to her home to harass her. She was arrested again after she went to Beijing to appeal at the end of 2000. She was sentenced to Jinan Forced Labour Camp for three years. While in the labour camp, she was forced to go through brainwashing sessions, hung up with handcuffs, beaten, exposed to extreme heat, forced to sit on a hard stool, and not allowed to use the toilet. Her body and mind were severely damaged. Even though she was released at the end of 2003, the authorities of Wucheng and Luquantun continued to harass her. Also, the court forced her and her husband to divorce because she practised Falun Gong and cancelled her residence status. Under these various pressures, the illnesses caused by persecution in the labour camp caused her death on November 9th, 2005.

Mr. Bai Jiazhen, 60 years old, was a retired official of a town government in Shandong Province. After practising Falun Dafa, many of his illnesses disappeared, and he had very good health. However, the police illegally searched his home, threatened him, and cancelled his salary when Falun Gong was banned on July 20th of 1999. He was sentenced to a forced labour camp after returning from appealing for Falun Gong in Beijing. In the labour camp, he was treated inhumanely, forced to labour beyond his physical strength, and brainwashed. He developed mental problems and died on September 19th, 2004.

Mr. Li Feng, 66 years old, was a practitioner from Fushun City, Liaoning Province. The police illegally searched his home on January 18th, 2002, and detained him for 20 days in the detention centre. Mr. Li was arrested again when he handed out materials telling the facts of the persecution on January 27th, 2003, and he was sentenced to a forced labour camp for three years. Both his body and mind were damaged in the labour camp. On October 26th, 2004, he was released to see a doctor and died on June 17th, 2005.

Mr. Wang Junting, 67, was a Dafa practitioner from Tianjin City. Both he and his wife were "illegally arrested1" in 2001 and detained in the Nankai Detention Centre. After that, his wife was sentenced to Tianjin Banqiao Women's Forced Labour Camp for one and a half years. She suffered hard labour and torture. After Mr. Wang was released, the police frequently harassed him. Under the extreme mental and economic pressure, his heart failed, and he died on October 25th, 2005.

Mr. Sun Hongjun, 68 years old, was a retired worker from the Shanxi Diesel Factory in Datong City, Shanxi Province. After learning Falun Dafa in 1994, all of his original illnesses left him. After the persecution began on July 20th, 1999, the factory's and local police officers frequently harassed him. In order to avoid them, he went elsewhere to find work for three years, beginning in October 1999. He didn't keep up his cultivation practice well and suffered extreme illness. He died on October 2nd, 2005.

Ms. Guo jingzhe, 48 years old, was a resident of Dawei Village, Shenzhou City, Hebei Province. She started to practise Falun Dafa in 1996 and benefited greatly. She was cured of her hepatitis. When the persecution of Falun Gong began in 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal and was detained and brainwashed when she returned home. Under the great pressure, she wrote a guarantee statement against her will, promising to not practise Falun Dafa anymore. She gave up her practice and developed serious liver problems. Helped by practitioners, she renounced her guarantee, and started to practise again. She resisted all persecution from the local government and other evil people. After that, her child passed the college examination. The police used it as a reason to harass and threaten her. It seriously harmed her body and mind. Ms. Guo Jingzhe died in July 2004.

Ms. Kang Xiaorong, 92 years old, was a resident of Yuke Dongjingmeng Village, Shenzhou City, Hebei Province. Because her feet had been bound, she couldn't stand steadily and swayed when she first went to the exercise site in 1996. That night, she dreamed that Teacher Li healed her feet. She could stand securely when exercising the next day. One night she found blood in her urine. When she got up the next morning, she felt light in her whole body, and she found that the tumour that had grown in her stomach for several dozen years had disappeared. On July 20th, 1999, the persecution began, and the environment changed. Eight practitioners from her family went to Beijing to appeal against the persecution of Dafa, and they were detained, fined, brainwashed, and forced to clean the streets. Because this elderly woman was harmed and harassed by the police, she didn't dare to practise anymore. Her health got worse and worse, and her mind was not clear. She died on October 14th, 2003.

Note

1. “Illegally arrested”: Contrary to what former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin, who initiated the persecution, and the Chinese Communist Party would like the world to believe, practising Falun Gong is NOT illegal in China. Although the Public Security Department issued an unconstitutional set of restraints on the practice at the onset of the persecution in 1999, no laws have been passed by the only legislative body in China, the People's Congress, banning Falun Gong or granting the police the authority to arrest Falun Gong practitioners for practising the exercises or distributing leaflets.
