Ms. Chen Yunzhi
My mother, Chen Yunzhi is 65 years old, and lives in Beijing, China. On August 25th, 2005, she was illegally arrested on the street while passing out flyers. She was detained first in Qinghe District Detention Centre, and then transferred to Beijing City Police Department Detention Centre.

I heard that my mother is going to be sentenced to prison. My family has not been allowed to visit her yet, so no one knows how she is, or if her physical condition is all right.

My mother started practising Falun Dafa in 1999. She was first arrested and sent to forced labour at Xin'an Labour Camp in 2000 and was then released in 2001. I visited her there, and saw that she was very weak, that she had dramatically lost weight, and had bruises on her body. I could see she endured a living hell during her first forced labour term, and that is why I am feeling very worried right now.

I am a student here in Canada. I have lots of school work to do, and I live a very fast paced life. I am so worried about my mother and my grandma, who is 95 years old and is usually taken care of by my mother. Now that my mother is detained, my grandma is near a mental breakdown.

I am very angry with the Beijing police that detain my mother, especially since I live in Canada, such a free country. I demand that the Beijing Police Department release my mother unconditionally, and I reserve the right to sue the officials and police who are involved in persecuting my mother.

Beijing Police Department address: 501 Dougezhuang, Chaoyang District, Beijing City, 100000. Tel: 86-10-87395170, operator: 86-10-85225050.
