Austria: Anti-Torture Exhibition in Graz

To let people know the truth about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution of its practitioners in China, Austrian practitioners have been trying their best to visit different Austrian towns once a month. On October 15th they paid a visit to Graz.

It was a beautiful and warm Autumn day and many people visited downtown Graz. A young girl stopped at the information table and asked for a Chinese-language newspaper. A practitioner from Graz asked her if she wouldn't prefer the German language paper. She told us that she was actually taking a paper for her brother who is studying Chinese. An elderly lady viewed the information boards, depicting the torture of Falun Gong practitioners in China for the simple reason that they believe in “Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.” She had to take off her classes to dry her tears.

When we started our tour of Austria, only a few practitioners had time to participate, especially when it came to the 'live' anti-torture exhibitions, where practitioners demonstrated selected torture methods. We got together for experience sharing and discussed if we should postpone our activities. We decided that they were of the greatest importance, because such activities allow people to discover the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. We got a permit for one of the busiest streets in Graz, just in front of an ancient cottage.
