There are several kinds of agencies specifically set up by the Chinese Communist Party to persecute Falun Gong. They are: the 610 Office, National Security organisations, Public Security organisations, "Transformation Centres" (brainwashing centres), and the Anti-Cult Association.

The 610 Office, officially called, "The Leadership Team to Deal with the Falun Gong Problem," is an arm of the Communist Party system. Following the establishment of the Central Committee 610 Office, each province, city, county, and township has formed a corresponding organisation, which has full control over any issue that has to do with Falun Gong.

Special organisations have been set up in the National Security system and Public Security system at the national, provincial, and municipal levels, focusing on Falun Gong issues outside China.

In the Public Security system, there are National Security departments established at different levels. At the provincial level, there is a general team, while at the municipal level, there are branches tasked with abducting and arresting Falun Gong practitioners.

The Transformation Centres, officially called, "The Legal Education and Training Centre," are in fact brainwashing centres. They charge Falun Gong practitioners between 5,000 and 10,000 yuan each time, in order to "transform" them. This amount is usually paid either by the practitioners' work units or their family members.

The Anti-Cult Association, a "mass" organisation under the leadership of the 610 Office, reaches from the national level to the municipal level. This year, officials were required to set it up at the county level. All the board members of the association at each level are well-known people who do not have specific positions in the organisation and have their own job. Some leaders of certain media are board members, too. But they are reluctant to publish articles reflecting this perspective.

Wang Yusheng, director of the Chinese Science and Technology Museum, has acted as the Vice Director and Secretary General of the Chinese Anti-Cult Association since 2000. He has attended the meeting of the UN Commission on Human Rights each year since 2001 and given speeches frequently in schools. The Chinese Anti-Cult Association has its office set up in the Chinese Science and Technology Museum. Below is the address:
