On Saturday September 10th 2005, Falun Gong practitioners attended family recreation activities in Trier, Germany, hoping to introduce local people to Falun Gong and let them know about efforts to rescue the orphans of persecuted Falun Gong practitioners in China.

Located in southwestern Germany close to the border with Luxembourg, Trier is situated on the bank of the Moselle River. Several thousand children and their family members gathered in Trier on Saturday to attend recreation activities. Children gathered at the Falun Gong information booth to learn how to fold paper lotus flowers and listened to original music by practitioners. While the children concentrated on making the flowers, their parents read the information about the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners on the boards set up around the booth.
