I began practising Falun Gong in June of 2004. In the winter of 2003 I suffered from rheumatoid arthritis. I sought treatments for the condition everywhere but no one could cure it. My mother suffered from the same illness for nearly 30 years without finding a cure. In the spring of 2004 my father heard that there was a special treatment in Shandong Province, so he took me there. The doctor said that he could definitely cure the illness, so I spent 3,000 yuan (the Chinese currency; 500 yuan is equal to the average monthly income of an urban worker in China) and bought the medicine for one course of treatment. I felt better after several days of the medication, but four days after I finished the medicine, I again felt uncomfortable. During the 5th night I could not sleep. The next morning I could not get out of bed. I felt pain all over my body and felt very depressed. My husband worked out of town to support the family and yet I have two children who are very young. Since the illness developed to such a stage the heavy household chores fell upon my 14-year old daughter. Not being able to do anything about it I felt very sad.
One day a Falun Gong practitioner in our village came to my home. He told me, "You should practise Falun Gong." I thought that since my illness could not be cured, why not give it a try and so I started practising Falun Gong. I did not believe that my illness could be cured and yet after a while I started to feel better. I read Zhuan Falun and came to understood some of the principles outlined in the book. After I truly started to practise Falun Dafa all my illness' disappeared and now I can even work in the fields. All my family members are very happy for me. My daughter supports me in my practise and is starting to practise Falun Gong. She also participates in some activities to let more people know the true facts about Falun Dafa.
My son also has a good predestined relationship. One time half of the children in his class developed the mumps. The parents took them to get medicine, injections and infusions. I also wanted to take him there, but my son cried and refused to go, which really angered me. He said. "I'll recite "Falun Dafa is good." The result was incredible: After three or four days, he recovered, while the other kids were still sick.
I know that such effects result from the compassion of the founder of Falun Gong, Teacher Li and the power of Falun Dafa. Witnessing and experiencing such amazing healing effects strengthened my will to practise and from now on I will be even more diligent in the practise.
