Chinese Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gao Rongrong was disfigured by torture with an electric baton by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) police and died on June 16th, 2005. On June 26th, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Thailand gathered to mourn Gao Rongrong. They raised banners reading, "Protesting Against the CCP for Killing Gao Rongrong!" "Severely Punish the Murderers," and "Call for the CCP to Immediately Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong." The practitioners requested that the international community show concern regarding the persecution in China.

The CCP authorities blatantly murdered Gao Rongrong, whose case has been made known to the outside world, with no regard for international public opinion and consequences. The local Falun Gong practitioners said that the CCP has suppressed Falun Gong for six years, and as of today, more than 2,000 practitioners are verified to have died as a result of persecution. Besides the suppression carried out inside China, the CCP has also utilised its embassies and consulates to extend the persecution overseas and unreasonably interfered with the human rights of citizens in other countries. We strongly appeal to the international community to stop the persecution and protect Falun Gong practitioners' freedom of belief.
