A Dog Saves Its Owner

One day, two practitioners went to a friend's home to clarify the facts about Falun Gong. The friend has a lovely dog, which always barks for a while when guests come to visit. However, this time the dog barked only twice and then peacefully laid down by its owner's side as if listening to the conversation.

When the two practitioners talked about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party (A set of articles detailing the birth and characteristics of the Chinese Communist Party) and the corruption of the Communist Party, as well as the tidal wave of people resigning from the Communist Party to save themselves, the friend, who is a Communist Party member nodded his head in agreement with what was said. But when asked whether he himself would quit the Communist Party to save himself, he said only that he wanted to wait.

Sensing that the opportunity was not right, one of the practitioners told him that they were leaving and would come back later. Just after he said that, unexpectedly the dog stood up and barked twice at this practitioner. The man explained to him that the dog didn't want him to leave. After a while, the other practitioner stood up and said goodbye, but the dog ran to him and barked once, as if asking him to stay. The two practitioners had to sit down again. They urged their friend to reconsider resigning from the Communist Party. But he was still reluctant to do so.

Then an astonishing thing happened. The dog stood up on his two hind legs with his two front paws together. He started bowing in salute to his owner. One practitioner said, "Look! The dog is asking you to quit the Communist Party." The man smiled but kept his silence. A short while later, the dog again started bowing in salute to his owner. This time the man was truly touched. He was silent for a while and then said to the two practitioners, "I'll do what you said" (he referred to writing a statement to withdraw from the Communist Party). Thereafter, the dog lay peacefully on the floor. He did not move again until the two practitioners left.
