On April 9, 2005, more than twenty Falun Gong practitioners from Sydney and Mittagong introduced Falun Gong to the public with a colourful program of entertainment in Belconnen Shopping Centre and also at a market.

They gave a beautiful Tang Dynasty Costume Show and a Chinese lute dance. Three Western practitioners from Mittagong sang eight songs that they wrote, including "Zhen-Shan-Ren," "Universal Law" and "Why are you killing your own good people?" Their songs praised the universal principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and the peaceful and healthy lives that Falun Dafa brought them. The songs also exposed the persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

A chorus of the song "Falun Dafa Is Good" brought the program to a close.

The audience was fascinated by the beautiful songs and dances, and applauded the performances. They also gained an understanding of Falun Gong through a demonstration of the exercises.

A spectator asked a practitioner why she came to give this performance. The practitioner told him that they all benefited from Falun Gong, and just hoped to share it with others. She told the spectator that Falun Gong activities are free of charge.

Some people told Falun Gong practitioners that they had thought Falun Gong was like the martial arts in movies. They couldn't understand how come such a peaceful exercise and good philosophy would be persecuted in China. Practitioners told them about the wide spread of Falun Gong around the world, and how Jiang and the CCP utilised each other to escalate the cruel persecution. The practitioners hoped the public would join them and help stop the persecution.

Many people wanted to find out more about Falun Gong. Some even wanted to learn it right away.
