Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zha Sang was a Tibetan. She was abducted and sentenced to three years in prison. She died at her home in Lhasa City, Tibetan Autonomous District in October 2002

Ms. Zha Sang was 56 years old and an employee of the Tibetan Agricultural Institute. After she started cultivating Falun Dafa in 1996, her breast cancer totally disappeared. Zha Sang told others, "We Tibetans have a saying passed down from our ancestors. When a righteous practice meets tribulation, the greater the practice, the bigger the tribulation. I observed this practice from the beginning until the severe persecution started, which helped me cultivate more solidly."

Ms. Zha Sang's belief in Falun Dafa was even stronger and her cultivation more steadfast after the persecution started in 1999. In November 2001, she was abducted from her home in Chengdu City by police and detained in Xipu Detention Centre in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. She was sentenced to three years in prison. Due to the severe living conditions, her old illness came back. Ms. Zha was released on medical parole, but died in October 2002 at her home in Lhasa City.
