The drawing below is an illustration of the so-called "Pai Lou" (meaning a decorated archway) at Jiutai Forced Labour Institute in Jilin Province. The "Pai Lou" was built on the second floor of the Discipline Department in the men's section of the labour camp. It is also called the "forbidden cell." Many Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured in this iron cage. The detained practitioners have to eat, sleep and relieve themselves all in one small cell.

In this drawing, the large cage is divided into five smaller cells. Each cell is 0.9 meter wide and 1.7 meters long, and each will contain four practitioners. There are also handcuffs in the cell to further restrain practitioners.
