At the beginning of January 2005, a Warsaw Falun Gong practitioner completed the large task of delivering the introductory text to the Falun Dafa cultivation practice, Falun Gong, to all libraries in Warsaw. Using local public transport, she delivered the book to over 120 libraries in order to help Warsaw residents have the chance to learn Falun Gong. Included in the book are instructions on how to do the 5 sets of Falun Gong exercises, which are practised by 100 million people in 60 countries around the world, bringing benefits to body, mind and spirit. The practice is based in the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion & Tolerance. The author of the book is the founder of the practice, Mr. Li Hongzhi, who was nominated 4 times for the Nobel Peace Prize, as well as the Sacharow Prize for Freedom of Thought.

The library workers’ response to the delivery of the books was very positive. In general, they were at first pleasantly surprised that the book was being donated, and then proceeded to ask questions about the practice and the practice sites in Warsaw, as well as the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

The whole delivery project lasted over two months and marks another step taken to familiarize a larger portion of Polish society with the practice, as well as to create further opportunities to expose the facts of the persecution against Falun Gong.
