Practitioners Mr Jia Zhenjie, Ms Zhang Bingli and Ms Zhang Wenping from Hebei Province, Were Tortured to Death in 2001 and 2002

Mr. Jia Zhenjie, about forty years old, was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Xiaobao Village, Shenze County, Hebei Province. He was detained several times. In 2001, Mr. Jia was abducted from his home by the police. He was severely beaten numerous times while detained in the County Detention Centre. Jia Zhenjie was ordered to pay a fine of 6,000 yuan, before being released. Around July 20, 2002, police arrested him at home and detained him in the police station for two days. He passed away soon after that.

Ms. Zhang Bingli, in her 50's, was a Dafa practitioner from Gu Village in Shenze County. In 2000, she was arrested at home, imprisoned and tortured in the Jiaotong Service Centre in Shenze County. She was released on December 29 and passed away on January 6, 2001.

Ms. Zhang Wenping, in her 50's, was a Dafa practitioner from Xiaochen Village in Shenze County. She was detained several times. The police tortured her and blackmailed her. She was detained at the Jiaotong Service Centre from the end of 2000 until April 2001. Ms. Zhang passed away at the end of 2001.

On the evening of December 30, 2000, public security and government personnel from Shenze County arrested more than 80 practitioners. They were taken to Jiaotong Service Centre to undergo brainwashing. Practitioners were locked up all day long. Seven to eight practitioners shared a single bed. Ms. Caikun was found reading a Falun Dafa article, and was severely beaten. The Public Security Deputy ordered more than a dozen police to beat her for more than an hour with sticks and planks. They didn't stop even when the sticks and planks broke.
