With Strong Righteous Thoughts, I Was Able to Visit My Illegally Imprisoned Mother-in-Law

My mother-in-law is a steadfast Falun Dafa practitioner. She was illegally arrested and sentenced to five years in prison for clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to people. She firmly resisted all the arrangements made by the old forces. Because she has refused to cooperate with the authorities and compromise her beliefs, the prison personnel have violated the law and prevented her family members from seeing her. My mother-in-law's resolute behaviour has encouraged other fellow practitioners' righteous belief in Falun Dafa. A friend of mine is acquainted with one of the prison guards, so through my friend, I made arrangements to see my mother-in-law.

When I went to try to visit my mother-in-law with my friend, the prison authorities obstructed us again. While my friend was negotiating with the guard, I stood aside and thought silently, "Master has said that sending forth righteous thoughts in close proximity to the evil will have a very powerful effect. Then this is the best opportunity for me to destroy the evil at this prison. Whether or not I can meet with my mother-in-law, I cannot be controlled or swayed by feelings of affection, because eliminating the evil is what is most important."

After thinking this, my righteous thoughts came forth and I calmed down. I started to send forth righteous thoughts. Suddenly, I felt very strong energy rushing out of the top of my head to cover the entire sky. After sending forth righteous thoughts for about ten minutes, a conflict developed between a policeman and a policewoman, and eventually they started to pound the table and utter abusive words at each other. I suddenly recalled what Master said,

"When you are persecuted in any way you can use righteous thoughts to turn the tables on the bad people and stop the persecution. And this includes those who assault the students with punches and kicks: strong righteous thoughts can make the person's punches and kicks land on himself, or make the wicked policemen and the bad people lash out against each other, and they can transfer all the pain and injuries over to the wicked person or policeman who assaults you." ("Stop the Evil Acts with Righteous Thoughts")

I realised in my heart this was precisely such a situation, in which "the wicked policemen and the bad people lash out against each other." Finally the policeman left, and the policewoman started to help us arrange the meeting with my mother-in-law on her own initiative.

After my mother-in-law came out, there were no more difficulties. I truly experienced the power of strong righteous thoughts. One month later, my wife and I had an even smoother meeting with my mother-in-law, as a result of the strong righteous thoughts from both of us.

Because of these experiences, I have a renewed understanding regarding Fa-rectification and the responsibilities of Falun Dafa practitioners in the Fa-rectification period.
