Forty-one-year-old practitioner Ms. Fuli is from Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. In 2000, her hands were disabled and her body was covered in sores as a result of torture at the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province.

The photos above show Ms. Fuli's hands.

In October 1999 Ms. Fuli went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Dafa for the second time. Armed police arrested her in Tiananman Square. Officials from the Shuangcheng City "610 Office" then brought her back to Shuangcheng City and held her at the No. 2 Detention Centre. In mid-November, the Shuangcheng City Police Department sent her to the Wanjia Forced Labour Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province.

In Wanjia Forced Labour Camp, Ms. Fuli endured inhuman treatment. She was hung by her thumbs, placed in solitary confinement, and tortured in many others ways. To hang her by her thumbs, the police tied rope around her thumbs and then hung her up by the rope. Her thumbs had to sustain the weight of her whole body! After being suspended like that for a long time, her thumbs became deformed and her hands disabled.

The above photos show another person reenacting how authorities hung Ms. Fuli by her thumbs.

Most of the practitioners incarcerated in the Wanjia Labour Camp suffer from scabies because of the humidity and all the physical torture. Sores cover their entire bodies.

As a result of the severe tortures she suffered, Ms. Fuli could no longer care for herself. In late October 2000, she was "released for medical care." Her body is still covered with sores, and her hands are disabled.
