This painting vividly portrays a form of torture know as the “human grill” --- one of the many horrible tortures that the torturers in the torture chambers in China’s police stations, forced labour camps, and forced brainwashing centres mostly commonly use on Falun Gong practitioners who refuse to give up their belief in Falun Gong.

This is an extremely vicious and cruel type of torture. The Chinese police have used cigarettes to burn many Falun Gong practitioners’ faces creating horrible black burn scars on their faces. Some extremely cruel police officers have burned and ruined the faces of some young beautiful female Falun Gong practitioners. The Chinese police’s methods of cruelty has even exceeded that of the German Nazis.

There are many variations of the "human grill", such as using lighters to burn Falun Gong practitioners’ faces (including eyebrows,) chins, the back sides of their hands, their lower arms, thighs, and even their private parts. Some Chinese police place iron or metal bars in the furnace until they became red hot and then use them to burn Falun Gong practitioners’ chests and thighs.
