UK MP Shows Support Towards Falun Gong and the Minghui Case

Thank you for your kind words with regards to my signing of EDM 304.

I would like to reassure you of my interest in your daughter’s case [Refering to Minghui, a chinese child denied citizenship from the Chinese Embassy in London due to the mother being a Falun Gong practitioner] and of the denial of other human rights in China. As well as monitoring the treatment of Falun Gong practitioners, I have also received representations from within my own constituency about the persecution of Christians and have taken appropriate steps to raise this issue with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

I am pleased to note that dialogue has taken place between the Chinese and British Authorities concerning your daughter and I hope that the outcome will be a positive one My thoughts are with you at this very difficult time.
