United Kingdom: Falun Dafa Practitioners Protest on 23rd of July in front of the Chinese Embassy against the Five Years of Brutal Persecution

On July 23 2004, Falun Dafa practitioners in England held a peaceful appeal in front of the Chinese Embassy in Manchester to mark the five years of ruthless persecution by the Jiang regime against Falun Gong. The Falun Gong practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts, practised the five-sets of Falun Gong exercises and explained the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong in China to the people of England who passed by using banners, posters and informational leaflets. Although there were only a few Falun Gong practitioners their native nationality was very diverse. We had a Falun Gong practitioner from Germany, Iran, Beijing, New York and of course Falun Gong practitioners from different parts of the UK all taking part in the appeal.

During the appeal one of the workers form the Chinese Embassy came out bearing a great smile on his face whilst saying, "What is the special event". A Falun Gong practitioner who has built a relationship with this Embassy worker over the years explained that we were their to mark the fact that the persecution has now been going on in China for five years. After listening to what the Faun Gong practitioner had to say he simply walked back in to the Chinese Embassy still smiling. Through this practitioners continuous efforts this Embassy worker is now friendly towards him and is willing to find out what it is we are doing.
