The "Cross-Country Van Tour to Support Bringing Jiang to Justice" (San Francisco – Chicago) composed of eight persons arrived at San Diego on May 14. They held a press conference at the tourist site La Jolla Cove. Local FOX TV and New Tang Dynasty TV came to cover the event.

At the news conference, the banner that read, "Calling for Justice: Stop the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" was very eye-catching. In front of the banner, four practitioners demonstrated three types of torture that Falun Gong practitioners are subjected to in China's jails. Eight practitioners performed the elegant Falun Gong exercises.
During the news conference, a member of the van tour introduced the Chicago lawsuit against Jiang and the agenda of this van tour. FOX TV and New Tang Dynasty TV carefully filmed the torture demonstration and the practitioners' group practice. During the process, many tourists stopped to watch and asked practitioners for more information. A community leader who passed by also invited practitioners to participate a community event to be held soon and wished to introduce Falun Gong to more people.
