Dafa practitioner Pan Jianjun from Yuanling County, Hunan Province, was abducted to and persecuted at the Yuanling County detention center, the Changsha Xinkaipu forced labor camp, the No.2 detention center in Huaihua City, the Jinshi prison in Changde City, and a forced labor farm in Xiangnan. He was tortured to death in early 2004.

Mr. Pan Jianjun, 33 years old, and a college graduate, was from Yuangling County, Hunan Province. When he was clarifying the truth about the persecution at a friend's house at the end of 2001, he was abducted by the local police to the county detention centre and sentenced to 3 years of forced labour. His forced labour term was extended to four years when he was betrayed by a collaborator (1). He was then transferred to the No.2 detention centre in Huaihua city.

Jianjun was seen in the No.2 detention centre at Huaihua in August 2003. At that time, he was as thin as a skeleton. He could not stand straight and had suffered severe injuries. In October that year, he went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. His term was extended to seven years, and he was taken to the Jinshi Prison in Changde City. There, Pan Jianjun became unconscious. He regained consciousness when the prison authorities were about to send him to be cremated. He was placed in the "strictly monitored brigade" of Section 6 in Jinshi Prison and tortured. In the winter of 2003, he was transferred to a forced labour farm in Xiangnan for further persecution. On February 5, 2004, the prison sent a notice to his family members saying, "Pan Jianjun has died."

An investigation is needed to discover more detailed information.
